Announcement! SAGE Gets Funding!
| 16 February 2011
We are very proud to anounce that the Anonymous donor that origionally funded SAGE in 2008 has come back to the table!! This donor orgionally stepped up for $25,000 and gave the Stoney Adventure Group Experience its birth but unfortunately decided to step asside shortly after.
Over the past 2 years an event called the Night of Lies has come in to support SAGE. This is a grass roots climbing event started by Higher Ground president Wade Graham, that, for the past 10 years has been supporting local causes. Night of Lies has supported everything from The Climbers Access Society of Alberta to the rebuilding of the Alpine Club of Canada Fay Hut but SAGE is an especailly important organaization that we intend to stick behind. To date, with the help of many Canmore locals including Ambler and Jim Milley, we have raised almost $25,000 to keep this project alive.
Here is a video put together by Tracy Jacobson that does a fantastic job of explaining what SAGE and Night of Lies are! Thank you Tracy!

The anonymous donor has decided to get re-involved and will be matching donations raised to support SAGE!
This is welcome news and has come as a result of the hard work of many individuals but namely Jeff Horvath! Congratualtions Jeff!
This year a good friend of mine Joel Hoffman created two awards to be presented at Canmore Collegiate High School. The SAGE award and the Higher Ground Award. Amazingly this was the first time a native student has been recognized at this school. What an incredible experience to be a part of!
Our support will continue. There is much work to be done!
If you are interested in getting involved please contact Wade Graham.
